Electrical supply — EtihadWE
Etihad Water and Electricity — the utility formerly known as FEWA — supplies Ajman along with the other northern emirates. Spare board capacity in older Ajman apartment stock is frequently tight, and it is the emirate where we most often end up recommending an infrared cabin on a 13A socket rather than a traditional heater. In Al Zorah and the newer villa developments the position is much healthier.
Approvals — Ajman Municipality
Ajman Municipality and Planning Department handles submissions, and the threshold is broadly the same as elsewhere: internal work with no structural or drainage change is an NOC matter, anything touching the envelope or the drains is a submission. Al Zorah runs its own community approval process, which is the more demanding of the two.
