Stepping out of a 90°C cabin into genuinely cool desert air is an experience the coastal emirates simply cannot offer.

Electrical supply — AADC
Al Ain Distribution Company supplies the city — a different entity from Abu Dhabi's ADDC despite the same parent, and the account and connection process reflects that. Villa plots here are generally large with generous incoming supply, so heater sizing is rarely constrained by the board. It is one of the few places in the UAE where we almost never have to talk a client down to a smaller unit.
Approvals — Al Ain City Municipality
Al Ain City Municipality applies its own building height and heritage-area rules, and these matter more here than elsewhere because of the conservation zones around the oases and Jebel Hafeet. A garden sauna cabin on a plot inside a conservation area needs checking before design, not after — we have had to relocate a proposed cabin more than once because of a setback rule that would not apply two streets away.

Are outdoor saunas better in Al Ain than in Dubai?
Genuinely, yes. Al Ain is inland and dry, and overnight temperatures from October to March drop considerably further than on the coast. The contrast between the cabin and the outside air is what makes an outdoor sauna worthwhile, and Al Ain has more of it than anywhere else we work.
Do the large plots change anything?
They make garden cabins easy — setback distances that constrain a Dubai villa rarely bind here, and incoming electrical supply is usually generous. The main constraint is conservation-area rules rather than space.
Who supplies the electricity?
Al Ain Distribution Company, which is a separate entity from Abu Dhabi's ADDC. The technical requirements are similar; the account and connection paperwork differs.
Is there a conservation-area issue?
There can be. Areas around the oases and Jebel Hafeet carry setback and height rules that a freestanding cabin can fall foul of. We check the plot's designation before designing, because relocating a cabin after approval is far more expensive than positioning it correctly first.
Do you charge more for Al Ain?
There is a mobilisation line, quoted per project. We work in continuous blocks with the team staying locally rather than driving four hours a day, which keeps that figure lower than it would otherwise be.
