Untreated spruce and standard cedar do not hold up well on external elevations here; thermowood is close to mandatory for outdoor cabins, and we detail internal vapour barriers with more overlap than we would on a Dubai job. Electrical supply — EtihadWE
Etihad Water and Electricity supplies the east coast. Provision in the resort corridor along Al Aqah and Dibba is generally strong because the hotels drove the infrastructure. Residential stock inland and in the older parts of Fujairah city is more variable, and a board check at survey is not optional here.
Approvals — Fujairah Municipality
Fujairah Municipality handles submissions. Coastal setback rules apply along much of the shoreline and catch people out when siting outdoor cabins near the beach — the line is not always where you would assume. We check the plot before designing anything freestanding.

Do you work with resorts on the east coast?
